My Approach

My approach to counselling is gentle, collaborative, integrative, and holistic. I believe healing happens in a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and accepted — without judgement or pressure to change before you’re ready.

I draw from a person-centred approach, utilizing integrative therapies such as cognitive behavioural, narrative, and somatic modalities to support both emotional insight and nervous system regulation. Together, we explore your experiences with compassion, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and build practical tools that feel authentic and sustainable for you.

Above all, I see therapy as a relationship rooted in safety, trust, and curiosity. You don’t need to be “fixed” — you already carry the capacity for growth, healing, and self-understanding. My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself and move toward a life that feels more balanced, grounded, and meaningful.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected. When you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in self-criticism, CBT can help you notice patterns that keep you feeling this way and develop practical strategies to manage them. It’s about learning new ways to respond to stress, challenge negative self-talk, and gradually feel more in control of your emotions and choices.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy focuses on the stories we tell about ourselves and our lives. If you struggle with self-doubt, low self-esteem, difficulties in relationships, or feeling trapped by the past, narrative therapy helps you explore these stories and reframe them in a way that highlights your strengths, resilience, and ability to create change. It’s about helping you separate from limiting beliefs and step into a story where you feel empowered and seen.

Somatic Experiencing

Somatic therapy recognizes that our bodies hold tension, stress, and trauma. When you experience anger, frustration, anxiety, or difficulty coping with past experiences, somatic therapy helps you notice and release these sensations safely. By connecting to your body, you can calm your nervous system, process emotions, and develop a deeper sense of safety, grounding, and emotional regulation.
